The Miracle of Spring Auction is the largest annual fundraiser of the Cathedral.  The proceeds from this auction help to fund four major areas of the Mother Church of the Diocese of Spokane.    
 

• Comprehensive Social Outreach Program.  The Cathedral prepares and distributes over 1,400 sandwiches per month to the poor and hungry, we offer a job skills training program for the homeless and unemployed as well as financial support for Transitions, Mid-City Concerns, Women’s Hearth and the Catholic Charities parish assistance program.

 

• Preservation of the Historic Mother Church.  As the Mother Church of the Diocese of Spokane, the Cathedral provides a spiritual anchor for the Catholic community in Eastern Washington.  Most of our buildings are over 100 years old and require extensive maintenance to keep them in proper condition.

 

• Elderly Outreach.  The Cathedral coordinates dozens of volunteers who provide weekly visits to the elderly and shut-ins living in the downtown core.  These visits offer seniors companionship, spiritual enrichment, and the security that comes from weekly contact with another person.

 

• Catholic School Tuition Subsidy.  Cataldo Catholic School serves the Cathedral parish by providing children an excellent education in an environment of faith.  The Cathedral provides tuition assistance to families who send their children to Cataldo.
